Ways to Reach Us

We are a small, specialist team rather than a large call centre — this means you communicate directly with a researcher who actually knows Egypt, not a generalist customer service representative reading from a script. Most plan enquiries receive a substantive initial response, not just an acknowledgement.

Frequently Asked Pre-Contact Questions

These are the questions our team receives most often — checking here first may save you waiting for a reply.

Can you book tickets for me?

No. Cairo Passes is an information and research service. We do not sell tickets, make reservations, or operate as a travel agency. We can tell you exactly how, where, and when to purchase tickets yourself — including which sites require advance booking and which accept walk-ups without penalty.

Do I need a visa to visit Egypt?

Citizens of most countries can obtain a tourist e-visa online through the official Egyptian e-visa portal (evisa.gov.eg) before travel, or a visa on arrival at Cairo International Airport. Fees and processing times vary by nationality. Check the official portal for your specific country as rules change periodically.

Are the entry prices on your site current?

We verify prices against the Supreme Council of Antiquities official schedule on a quarterly basis and update our guides accordingly. Each guide page carries a "last verified" date. If a price seems significantly different from what you paid on arrival, please let us know via email — we appreciate field corrections from readers.

I need a private tour guide recommendation — can you help?

We maintain a list of licensed Egyptian guide contacts for the main regions — Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan — that we can share with Expert Consultation clients. We do not accept payment or referral fees from any guide. These are researchers and professionals whose work we have observed directly over the years.
